Here’s how I utilized five tools that had a significant impact. One of them even assisted me in going over the job description in detail.
This is for you if you want a collection of dependable, user-friendly tools and are sick of wasting time.
1. Gamma — How I Ditched PowerPoint and Impressed People
Do you know someone who can deliver presentations similar to TED Talks? I was not among them.
I’ve always struggled with formatting, design, and making things visually appealing.
Let’s get Gamma in.
This is what I did for the second round of my interview. I was asked to deliver a brief presentation on client segmentation for the firm.
I wrote, “Create a presentation on how early-stage SaaS companies can segment customers to improve retention, " instead of launching PowerPoint.
Gamma produced a completed deck containing examples, organization, and graphics in less than ten minutes.
I adjusted the tone, added a few personal observations, and clicked “share.”
They didn’t get a massive file from me. I emailed a link just now.
They bonded. They scrolled. At that point, they said, “We’ve never seen a presentation like that before.”
Boom.
Gamma made a flex out of a chore.
2. HeyGen — How I Made My First Video Resume Without Filming Myself Once
Being on camera bothers me.
However, everyone wants a face to follow the name in today’s society.
The issue? I lacked the time, confidence, and setup to record and edit a personal pitch.
So I made use of HeyGen!
I selected a neat-looking avatar, a voice that complemented my tone, uploaded my written introduction—a fancier version of “here’s who I am and why I’m applying”—and pushed the render.
A 90-second video of a polished, professional-sounding “me” who didn’t strain on camera emerged.
I updated my application email with the video link.
Did it change anything?
After I accepted the offer, my boss said, “That video resume? It stood in the heap. Nobody else accomplished it.”
The lesson is that you don’t need to be Spielberg. Simply use your creativity.
3. Recraft — The Secret Behind My Brand Makeover
For the big deal, my LinkedIn profile is a ghost town. It has a boring profile picture, no banner, generic postings, and no personality.
I had to appear well enough to get a job.
To avoid messing up human hands—you know what I mean if you’ve ever seen artificial intelligence fingers—I went to Recraft, an image-generating and editing tool that really understands composition.
I provided it with a suggestion: “A clean, modern background of a desk with a laptop, coffee, and plants — LinkedIn banner style.”
It offered me five choices in a matter of seconds.
I tweaked one, put a little color overlay, and posted it to fit my style.
I then used it again to create thumbnails for portfolio items, blog header photos, and a prototype of a suggested marketing plan.
Suddenly, I had a design team behind me on the internet.
Don’t use Photoshop. No Fiverr. Just a tool that recognized my needs.
4. 11Labs Voice Agent — The Tool That Let Me Practice Like a Real Sales Rep
I’ve never acknowledged this, but I get very cold during roleplays.
Companies enjoy those spoof calls, don’t you? Where do they urge you to act like you’re trying to sell something?
I detested them. I always felt uncomfortable when I practiced with a buddy. There was no pressure, no stake. I used the Voice Agent Builder from 11Labs to create my practice partner.
I created a simple call script, including inquiries such as:
“What makes your product different?”
“How would this help my team?”
“What’s the pricing?”
I then rehearsed responding to them realistically, simulating a genuine sales call.
The voice was convincing enough to put my mind in game mode.
I took a video of myself. Went over my responses. I changed the tone. Rehearsed.
I didn’t freeze by the time the roleplay took place. I didn’t stumble. I sounded as if I had done this before, and I had.
Not with a human, however.
How These Tools Helped Me Win (Even Without the Resume)
Let’s be clear about this.
I didn’t complete the task with these tools.
They did not write the resume. They failed to attend the interview. They made no pretenses.
They improved the process’s speed, accuracy, and readiness by a factor of ten.
I just required one long night and more in-depth research to master a subject; weeks weren’t necessary.
I had Recraft, so I didn’t need a designer.
I had HeyGen, so I didn’t need a studio.
I had eleven labs, so I didn’t have to practice alone.
I had Gamma, so I didn’t have to start from scratch.
They made me a noteworthy candidate, rather than just an ordinary one.
A Real Prompt That Got Me the Job
The night before my presentation, I would like to demonstrate my use of Deeper Research.
I typed:
“Examine the competitive environment for productivity SaaS solutions aimed at North American remote teams. Add acquisition channels, essential differentiators, and price models.
In half an hour, I had:
Data on market share
Tables of prices
Top tools’ go-to-market playbooks
I created a single slide from a SWOT analysis, which was excellent despite not being requested.
Additionally, I brought up a competitor’s recently announced pivot during the interview (thanks to the deep scan).
Not even the recruiting manager had seen it yet.
That was the end of it.
Why I’m Telling You This
Because I understand what it’s like to be overpowered by the clamor of the outside world.
There’s a sparkling new tool every day.
However, most of them don’t do anything. These five did.
They weren’t robotic. They didn’t promise too much. They just worked. They improved me. Sharper. More certain.
Start here if you’re looking for a job, changing professions, or just attempting to advance in 2025:
Deeper Research: to get knowledge quickly and clearly.
Gamma-to-present as if you’ve been doing it for years.
HeyGen: to arrive without recording oneself.
Recraft to give the impression that you have a designer on call.
11Labs: Practice as if you already have the job.
And, Finally…
There is no need for a $10,000 course. There’s nothing you need to “hack”. All you need is the appropriate equipment — and a little guts to utilize it innovatively.
