Have you ever wondered what people are really up to on their phones?
For a day, you can check anyone's phone without any constraint. What will be the first thing you will go for?
Whether I'm catching a quick break with a cup of tea, waiting for my wife to get ready for an outing, or simply unwinding with my phone, there are eight apps I find myself constantly switching between.
1. Todoist
Although I don't spend hours buried in it, Todoist gets most of my gentle app-opening taps throughout the day.
I jot down anything that comes to my mind in my ‘Inbox’ folder and later prioritize, schedule, and act upon it.
It's my task manager, which I call out whenever I have new to-dos on my priority list. It helps me stay organized and avoid the dreaded "Where did all my time go?" feeling.
I instantly create and update my to-do list and set reminders to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
I also love organizing tasks by category to keep my priorities clear.
2. Flipboard
Sometimes, you need a break from your world and a glimpse of what's happening out there.
Instead of watching, I like to read the news.
Flipboard curates articles from diverse sources based on my interests.
What keeps me relaxed about Flipboard is that it doesn't overwhelm me with news. Knowing my likes and dislikes creates a personalized magazine experience for me.
3. Google Drive
They say, "Data is the new gold," I wouldn't want to lose any of mine!
Google Drive is my favorite cloud storage app.
It's easy to use and keeps all my precious memories, important documents, and other files safe and sound. I can access them anywhere at any time.
Another good thing is that it integrates seamlessly with other Google apps.
4. Substack
Substack should be on the home screen for those genuinely thirsty to read and restive to write.
It allows me to share my thoughts, ideas, and experiences with people who genuinely appreciate them.
I even created my newsletter there, following inspiring writers and thinkers I admire.
It's a great way to explore new and different perspectives and learn new things.
5. Medium
Who can resist a good story?
Without any hesitation, I can say that I have become addicted to it. People share their stories, experiences, and valuable content from all walks of life.
I often need to catch up on time, so I get lost in the world of articles on Medium, hopping from one fascinating read to the next.
I have written on Medium for the last ~ three years and have 6K subscribers. Check me out, read, and engage with me.
6. Venmo
Venmo is another app that has made my life easy. It's a mobile payment app I frequently use to send and receive money.
Whether splitting a bill with friends, paying rent to a roommate, or buying something online, Venmo makes it secure, convenient, and user-friendly.
7. Linkedin
No one can deny the importance of professional networking and that LinkedIn has no better platform.
It helps you build authority in your field, showcase your work, make valuable professional connections, and learn from others.
LinkedIn is a fantastic platform for creating your portfolio and getting job opportunities.
8. Robinhood
Last but not least, Robinhood is my other favorite app. I use it to invest in stocks and ETFs.
The best thing about it is that it's a user-friendly platform and suitable for beginners to get started with investing.
This is the era when we constantly have our smartphones in our hands.
The apps on your phone can be considered valuable assets that help you stay organized, informed, connected, and even build a brighter future.
